Our Story

The Anderson Cavalier Athletic Program is a nonprofit dedicated to providing students of all educational backgrounds with the opportunity to participate in competitive athletics at the middle and high school level.

The Cavalier program brings students and families from local public, private, and home school atmospheres together.

The Anderson Cavaliers is a 501(c)3 independent sports program based in Anderson, SC. From its founding in 2008 by a group of parents who wanted a football team for area homeschoolers and private school students to now, our program is centered around Christ. All of our coaches and volunteers are dedicated to sharing the Gospel with our players and challenging them to exemplify the Christian faith both on and off the field.

Our program’s verse, Proverbs 27:17, "Iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another,"  is the inspiration of our C and Swords logo.

Our Mission

To provide sports teams to the Anderson, SC area with a Christ-centered focus and an emphasis on athletes from home-educated backgrounds as well as athletes who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play sports from homeschool, private school, charter school and public school settings. The program is a ministry and should always be treated as such with an opportunity to grow in faith and reach out to others who need faith. The team will offer an outreach element to minister to young men from difficult or challenging backgrounds which should amount to a tithe or approximately ten percent of the team if the opportunity presents itself.
